Our Story
IE5 Foods is a clean-label nutrition brand built on science, simplicity, and impact. In a world full of processed snacks, we chose to go back to roots—with millets like Raagi, known for their rich nutritional profile and sustainable sourcing.
Our energy bars are made with real ingredients—Raagi, oats, jaggery, peanuts—and are designed for modern lifestyles. Whether it’s a mid-study bite, a gym boost, or a mindful snack on the go, IE5 is fuel that fits into real life.
Our products are thoughtfully co-developed with nutrition researchers and supported by innovation, not marketing fluff.
Our Founders
IE5 Foods was founded by two purpose-driven women with diverse but complementary strengths:
Shilpi, a tech entrepreneur with a passion for health, brings innovation, user-first thinking, and a deep understanding of scalable digital ecosystems to the brand.
K. Kalyani, with 20+ years of experience in executive leadership and strategy, leads the business vision, partnerships, and outreach. Her focus lies in building solutions that are sustainable, inclusive, and impact-oriented.
Together, they’re on a mission to make functional nutrition both accessible and aspirational—starting with one bar at a time.
Mission & Vision
India faces a severe undernutrition crisis, especially among adolescent girls—40% are anemic and 42% undernourished. Malnutrition remains a leading cause of childhood mortality.
IE5 Foods is built to be part of the solution. With our millet-based energy bars, we aim to:
-
Prevent anemia and improve immunity
-
Support hormonal balance through clean, iron-rich food
-
Make good nutrition accessible to schoolgirls and beyond
Collaboration with IIMR
IE5 Foods proudly collaborates with the Indian Institute of Millets Research (IIMR)—a global leader in millet science and innovation.
This partnership ensures every product we develop is backed by real research, rigorous testing, and the latest insights in functional food science. With IIMR’s expertise and Nutrihub’s support, we are pioneering a new category of science-led, millet-based nutrition.
It’s not just food. It’s food with purpose, powered by research.
